Simply, Jesus… There's so much to that short statement and this ageless truth. As we enter the pointy end of 2023, so much can happen in these last months of the year. Busy things (national holiday weekends, Christmas, school holidays); deadlines and wrapping up of end-of-year projects; more events that we may get invited to or host ourselves... In all that, even in the joyous and wonderful things, we can sometimes miss the simplicity of *what* and *who* is the main thing in life: Jesus. It is simple: everything hinges on Jesus. And yet, it can be "easy " to place Him on the back-burner during busy days, seasons or when it comes to other priorities, however noble they may be. And whenever I am numb or undisturbed by this grave discrepancy in my life, I'm totally off-course and sinking.
