Pro tip: find yourself a work event where you get to have an incredibly supportive and impactful discussion AND someone still remembers to take a pic for social. (You’d think that would be me… it never is.) I’ve been absolutely loving the Roundtable events at the Pyramid Club this summer, especially the Women’s Entrepreneur Roundtable. When you’re running a business, it’s entirely too easy to put your head down and work until you “catch up,” then realize 3 years have gone by and you haven’t actually caught up. (Just me?) There was a long stretch of time when I thought I just didn’t have time to go to events like this. I mean, it’s true. I didn’t have time. I never will. But I have to make time. Lately I’ve been ok with setting aside some of the “feels urgent but actually aren’t” tasks that follow me from day to day (undone) so I can take a moment to get into the real world.
