D47 INSIDER: We visited Woods Creek Elementary earlier this month to see what students and staff were up to! We were lucky enough to start the day with the 4th-grade biography walk-through and learn about influential people in history! Then in art, 5th graders worked in groups to design new covers for their read-aloud books! First and third grade were both working on their math skills while kindergarten and CDP learned about an insect for each letter in the alphabet. We saw Ms. Devoe's 4th/5th multiage classroom learning how to write and address a postcard to go with a book they were reading! It was interesting fact day for the ABC countdown, and in 1st/2nd multiage classes, students were sharing all sorts of amazing things! We ended the day by joining Ms. Merlin's class for their Awesome Pawsome Paw party outdoors!
