These situations make it very difficult for most golfers to understand what they’re doing wrong. But understanding what toe and heel contact does to the side spin of a ball is the first step in helping you self-assess on the fly. Get some impact tape or Dr. Scholl’s foot spray and spray it on the face to see where you’re contact is.
