Hopefully the art of approach play and precision iron shots will once again get the respect it deserves in the near future. Here I had a player that had some hip ‘SWAY’ off the ball and we wanted to minimise that to make it easier to keep the LOW point in the swing more forward as to stop hitting shots slightly heavy. He was hitting shots very neutral with minimal curve, so we wanted to improve strike and bring the ball flight DOWN with mid & short irons. Pressure shift to the right when going for distance can have lots of benefits, BUT it’s not as important when hitting approach shots/shots from rough and trying to hit ‘flighted’ shots into tricky pin positions.
