HONORABLE GAME MENTIONS OF 2018 SEASON: WEEK 1 VS PURDUE & BIG TEN CHAMPIONSHIP VS OHIO STATE - PURDUE: - We kicked off the season in West Lafayette against the Boilermakers for the season opener of the 2018 season. The matchup was anticipated to be a close Big Ten conference battle, and indeed it was. After a tied score in the first quarter at 14-14, we came out in the second quarter and never looked back. We scored all our points in the first half, but held Purdue to scoring just 10, giving us the 31-27 conference win to start off the season! - - - OHIO STATE: - This game represented a change for Northwestern football. It showed that the underdogs of the Big Ten were capable of making it to the big stage in Indy. Although the game itself wasn’t so pretty, there was a glimpse of hope as we came back out in the second half. We scored an unanswered back-to-back touchdowns, making the game 24-21.
