The Spartans were obviously favored by a lot as they were ranked # 20 at the time and also had the home-field advantage. However, the tables turned once the game got underway. We took the lead in the 1st quarter and never looked back. Thorson went off, throwing for 373 yds and 3 TDs and our rush defense played well, holding MSU under 100 total rushing yards.
