You’re probably spending more time with your BFF in the fight against CO poisoning – your alarms!
#DYK Those beeps you may be hearing are not random, but are actually the alarm sending a signal of an action needed. We want to help explain what those mean, and what to do in case it happens to you. Here are some examples of common CO alarm beep patterns:
🔔 4 Short Beeps: Urgent – CO has been detected! Immediately leave your home and call 911
🔔 2 Beeps + 30 Sec Pause: It’s time to replace your entire CO alarm – Remember, all alarms must be replaced after 10 years
🔔 1 Beep + Pause: Low battery! This signals that the alarm’s battery must be replaced.
While these beep patterns are common, each CO alarm is manufactured to different specifications. Kidde encourages you to always read your model’s instruction guide for error conditions specific to your alarm!
