Alumna Liz Scherzer Bedford (SHP '94) is a professional chef working in the Bay Area. She and some friends learned the camp up in Shasta they attended as children was under threat from the Carr Fire, and they wanted to provide a treat of gratitude to the 1,200 firefighters working there. Needing a kitchen for the task, she called up Mr. Dioli who immediately said “yes” to using the Main Building kitchen.
