A $20 million grant – the largest competitive research award in Prairie View A&M University's 147-year history – will help launch the first HBCU-led National Center for Infrastructure Transformation in the history of the U.S. Department of Transportation program.
“This is a game changer,” Texas A&M System Chancellor John Sharp said Monday at a banquet on the Waller County campus that will house one of the country’s five University Transportation Centers. "Everything flows through Prairie View A&M University, which is historic."
