Feeling trapped in your dorm?
.
Dr. Dorothy Ibes and Dr. Catherine Forestell, professors at W&M, released a study in 2020 finding that students who spent time outdoors had lower stress levels, and were generally happier! Whether it’s eating a meal, reading a book, or hanging out with your friends, time outside is great for your mental health. William & Mary’s campus has many accessible outside spaces such as the Sunken Garden, the Lake Matoaka trails, the Zen Garden behind the Wellness Center, and the Terrace at Sadler! Get outside and see what campus has to offer.
