This week’s exercise for dancers is the dynamic clamshell. You start off in the same setup as a regular clamshell but that is where the similarities end.

Instead of just laying on the floor, you press your elbow and bottom knee into the ground and lift yourself into a modified lateral plank position. As you move into modified plank position, lift the top leg up into a clamshell position. Make sure you don’t keep the feet together. Repeat by returning to starting position and return to elevated position.

Perform on both sides. Hips should be on fire 🔥 after 20 reps.
