Here is a standing clamshell with band. Many dancers are given clamshells as an exercise. Here is a way to make it more impactful and translate into a more functional pattern of standing.

Key points:
1- make sure back is straight
2- standing leg slightly in front of leg on wall
3 - try to keep foot flat on the wall
4 - bend forward (hinge) from your waist.
