Hello/Goodbyes are utilized to help dancers improve their pointe! This exercise helps build the resiliency in the small muscles of the foot. Too many times all the muscles in the lower leg overpower the small muscles in the foot. Those small muscles help maintain the structure of the foot so the bigger muscles can produce more movement. Maintaining pointe is about maintaining good position. Without those smaller muscles, almost impossible. .
