This test measures control of the lower extremities and core. The starting position is similar to a penche, except the torso and gesturing leg are parallel with the floor. .
Each dancer stands in parallel with weight shifted onto one leg. The other leg is moved into tendu derriere and then lifted off the floor as the torso shifts forward and the arms lift beside the torso in the shape of a "T". Once the torso and leg are parallel with the floor, the dancer bends the supporting leg bringing the arms down towards the floor until the fingertips make contact. .
