A little about our home, Patten Gymnasium, and it’s namesake James A Patten. Mr. Patten was a resident and Mayor of Evanston, who provided the funds for building the Northwestern Gymnasium in 1909. Mr. Patten also served for many years as a Trustee of the University, and as President of the Board of Trustees.
