On this somber anniversary, we reflect on the tragic events of June 30th, 2013, when the Wildland Fire Community suffered an unimaginable loss. Eleven years ago, 19 brave firefighters perished while battling the Yarnell Hill Fire in Prescott, Arizona - the largest single loss of firefighters in the United States since 9/11. Today, we honor the memory of the Granite Mountain Hotshots and the profound impact they had on the Wildland Fire Community.
