Sometimes the goal is not to just get to the other side of the bridge but to go through the trial that may be waiting for us on the other side. As black history month approaches I urge everyone (especially our youth) to read and learn more about some of the events and people that helped shape our future and allow us to have the rights and freedoms we have today.
