Liam Varughese was a strong, brave and joyful boy. His laughter was contagious and he spread joy everywhere he went. He loved playing with his siblings, dressing up in his firefighter gear, hanging out with Brutus and cheering on the Buckeyes. Liam courageously battled Neuroblastoma and underwent many types of treatment at Nationwide Children‘s Hospital. After fighting a 1.5 year battle, Liam passed away in October of 2016. He was just 3 years old. We don’t do BuckeyeThon to play on the inflatables at the BBQ or to dance at Rave Hour at 4 a.m. While those are amazing perks, that's not why we do it. We do it because there are children around the world who are battling and there are kids just 4 miles away at Nationwide Children’s who are fighting from a hospital bed.
