Once a duck... 🦆 Looking back at the last 4 years of memories as a duck has me sentimental and excited for all that is to come. I am beyond grateful and wholeheartedly thankful for the opportunities that my coaches have created and encouraged me to rise to as both a student and an athlete at the University of Oregon. I am fortunate to have had 2 incredible coaches shape me into the person and athlete I am now as an Oregon graduate. Maurica Powell believed in me, laughed with me everyday and taught me to trust in myself and my ability to prepare. Together, we learnt how empowering a partnership can be when you trust in and enjoy the process. Helen Lehman-Winters challenged me to go beyond my perceived limitations and become comfortable being uncomfortable. We figured out how to put together a cross country season, learnt to reframe pressure and stayed in the moment.
