After leaving her country in 1991 due to civil war and violence, Dr. Ubah knew it was time to return to her home in #Somalia. For 29 years she had lived in #Italy, where she studied medicine.  Then in 2020, she decided it was time to give back and share her skills in pediatrics with other healthcare professionals back home. “I realized that there was an immense hunger for my specialty and knowledge. That is why I wanted to find an opportunity to come back and help." Dr. Ubah is one of the hundreds of people that have returned to Somalia and are training young professionals, contributing to the country’s development.
