16-year-old Rafa from #Mozambique was forced to flee her home following attacks in her village and ongoing violence. She now lives with her grandmother in a settlement for displaced people in Metuge. Thanks to the #UnitedNations Refugee Agency (UNHCR), Rafa has been able to participate in awareness sessions on early marriage and prevention of sexual exploition and abuse. “In today’s session, I learned that I should avoid coming back home late in the evening. If I feel unsafe I should reach out to the UNHCR Protection Focal Points working in the settlement, and I should invest more time in education before considering getting married,” explains Rafa.
