Monday's International Jaguar Day is an opportunity to stress the importance of conservation efforts underway to guarantee the jaguar's survival.⠀
In the last two decades, the jaguar population has declined by 20-25% due to habitat loss, environmental degradation, poaching and illegal trade. Today, 90% of the remaining jaguars live in the Amazon rain forest.⠀
