The Limousine Association of New Jersey (LANJ), originally the Private Livery Association of New Jersey, has a rich history dating back to June 1998. Born from the merger of the North Jersey Limousine Association and the South Jersey Limousine Association in 2007, LANJ united to champion fairer interstate commerce laws. Their efforts culminated in the Real Interstate Driver’s Equity Act (RIDE Act) of 2002, a landmark legislation benefiting chauffeured transportation companies nationwide by prohibiting fees from states other than the home licensing state.
