Massive Halal Arepas from @theareparepublic !! It’s extremely rare that I eat Venezuelan food, but every time I eat it I feel like I’ve been missing out on amazing food the whole time. I went to @theareparepublic for @bttoronto and their food was SO DAMN GOOD! Their arepas are 🔥🔥 If you’ve never had an Arepa before, they’re round flat bread made of corn (so gluten free) and typically they’re served on the side. But here they’re stuffed like sandwiches- and literally stuffed until you can’t fit anything else inside lol. Arepa 1 is the Reina Pepiada- a smooth and creamy chicken and avocado salad with red onions and mayo packed sonde an arepa. Arepa 2 is the Pabellón arepa- packed full of shredded flank steak, fried plantain, slow cooked black beans and white cheese. Their food is halal, gluten free, and they also have fully vegetarian and vegan options as well!!! These things are huge so you might need to pace yourself.
