Our Endangered Species Murals shine a light on local animals and plants in peril. Our newest mural, created by toosphexy and located in Pineville, West Virginia, features the Guyandotte River crayfish. Threatened by coal mining, this animal is now the world’s *most endangered* crayfish. It lives in only a few creeks and the Guyandotte River, where it helps keep streams cleaner and plays an important role in the food web. Thanks to youth volunteers from Friends of the Earth, Americorps, and the Wyoming County Energy Express Extension Service for helping paint parts of the mural! Remember: The river is for all of us. #StopExtinction #EndangeredSpecies
