The most recent project done in our Digital Design & Manufacturing Class! ⠀ ⠀ Repost from student explosivewoodworks ⠀ ⠀ Our most recent class project is almost finished! Our instructor jeffhoskison redesigned our shovel project into something extremely badass! This shovel is made from chromoly steel (for strength and reduced weight), stainless steel, copper rivets, and nylon/carbon fiber 3D printed parts. It has a spring loaded locking mechanism that allows the blade to fold into 3 positions. All the parts were cut using the amadaamericainc CNC laser and bent using their CNC press brake!
