It’s more than just a shoe. I know the Jordan 2 isn’t one of the most popular models, and I’m not trying to change anyone’s opinion of them. But for me, the Jordan 2 has special significance. Growing up in an area with limited access to sneakers, I relied on a small Foot Locker that rarely stocked anything exciting and Eastbay magazines. As a kid, I would spend hours poring over Eastbay and Slam Kicks magazines, dreaming about owning the pairs my favorite athletes wore. Even as I got older, my routine didn’t change. I continued to look through those magazines religiously.
