🗣Freedom cannot exist on stolen land. 🗣
This week, a lot of us are thinking about freedom, about what it means to stand against tyranny and injustice. For hundreds of years, our BIPOC and queer communities have fought hard to dismantle oppressive systems to get exactly that: freedom. However, Indigenous communities in the U.S. and people across the world still struggle for their rights and autonomy everyday. All of our freedoms of clean air, water, land and safety are challenged everyday by big oil corporations and fossil fuel conglomerates.
This “Independence Day”, we stand in solidarity to say: there is no freedom unless there is freedom for all.
There is no pride in genocide or imperialism and we only celebrate the continued fight for a just, green, and peaceful future for our people & our planet.
Today, stand in solidarity and support our Indigenous allies and partners:
