“Coming to Canada in the fall of 2021 was definitely a challenge after spending my first year online and in a different country. I felt I missed out on a lot of experiences due to the pandemic, coupled with having to adapt to a completely new climate and culture. This feeling pushed me to take advantage of the time I had left to experience university life to the fullest. From helping international students like me navigate their new home to performing traditional Filipino dances, I was able to meet a lot of wonderful people who embraced my diverse background with open arms and I continue to create new experiences I will look fondly over once I graduate.”
