On our first #NationalDaughtersDay together, I got to take my girl, Rudi Babe, to a photo & video shoot for the glove I named after her. Whoa. As I was driving here, frustrated I was having to do this 2 months after having a baby. I didn’t feel confident whatsoever. Then, I looked in her eyes & mine started to well with tears. How lucky am I to get the chance to name my first glove after her? How fortunate am I to have my daughter to hold during Pediatric Cancer Awareness month. How amazing is it that she & I will have these memories, in images and videos, for forever. One day, maybe her own daughter will be in a thrift shop and see a glove ‘from the past’ (you know the one that looks like no one could ever use it), and say “my Grandma made that” or “this was named after my Mom” ... wow, wouldn’t THAT be something special.
