The Pacific Softball team registered an 8-2 victory over UC Davis on Tuesday night at Bill Simoni Field, earning a split in the season series with the Aggies. Reigning WCC Pitcher of the Week Marissa Young (6-4) got the call in the circle for the Tigers and continued her string of impressive starts with a third-straight complete-game effort to send Pacific to a 4-1 homestand. Young worked out of jams all night long as UC Davis stranded 11 runners on the base paths including leaving the bases loaded in the third and seventh innings. Young matched her career-high with five strikeouts, surrendering five walks and allowing seven hits. Offensively, junior Sara Anderson and freshman Rachel Sellers each had three hits for Pacific while freshman Sydney Lahners and sophomore Cassidy Gustafson each picked up a trio of RBIs. #RoarTyges #209TT #Rope2015
