The bronze pour at the Foundry with Professor Sean Monaghan was really neat to see today. The class was pouring students' art pieces — they first had to heat the 500 lbs. of bronze to a molten state at over 2,100 degrees Fahrenheit and then pour into ceramic molds, in order to create their bronze sculptures through the 'lost wax' casting process. 🔥#ucsc #foundry #bronzepour
