It's deer fawning season again and finding a fawn alone in the woods or meadow is common. If you happen to see one, (or two!) enjoy your encounter, but for the animal's well being, keep it brief and maintain some distance. The mother keeps her distance after feedings to reduce the chance that she will attract a predator to the fawn. #ucsc #ucscwildlife
