After Umstead 100 miler I did feel a little gutted that my race didn't go as planned. I was smiling all the time during the race because I'm always grateful that I get to do this but it still stung afterwards. I kept playing it over and over in my head as to what I could have done differently but unfortunately running on a prosthetic leg can make things complicated. I started comparing myself to others and that's a terrible thing to do. Its scary putting yourself out there all the time, especially on social media and then failing. You feel like the world is watching you, but you know I wouldn't have it any other way. I've always been open about my journey and that includes the races that suck.
