Super excited. I will be running transrockiesrun_official again in 2022🤗. 6 days, 120 miles with 20000ft of gain. What an adventure.
This photo was taken at the start of day 3 of TransRockies in 2019. Can you tell how happy I was to be starting? On Day 2 I fell really hard, literally went flying in the air because my blade caught a rock on one of the fast downhills. I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to continue the race. My leg & knee were really swollen and being allergic to any kind of pain killers or anti-inflammatory I had to suck it up and hoped that after a good night's rest it would miraculously feel better. Weirdly in the morning I could actually walk. It was still swollen but not super painful and I could move, so I finished day 3😊. After two years I've still got a bump on my thigh from that fall🤣. Obviously must been a really hard one🤦♀️.
Let's hope I manage to stay on my feet in 2022.
