See the ability not the disability. Happy international day for people with disability. I've never really seen myself as "disabled". Losing my leg has taken me on so many wonderful adventures and I've learned that I can be strong and fearless. I've run up mountains, I've run 100 milers and all on a prosthetic. Something I'm always grateful for. Losing my leg has definitely made me more resourceful, determined and grateful for life.
