I survived my first stage race. The transrockiesrun_official. 3 days with around 60 miles and 8800ft/2660m elevation gain and running at altitude. What an incredible adventure. Thank you to hylandspowered for giving me this opportunity. If you haven't run this race before I would highly recommend it. Such an incredibly beautiful experience. I met so many wonderful people and I was really sad to say goodbye. The volunteers/crew were absolutely amazing. . . I had a few challenges along the way. Stage one I developed severe blisters on my stump, which made running a little painful and when I crossed the finish line I realized my tread had totally come loose on the bottom of my blade. The Transrockies crew were amazing and found super glue and fixed my leg for me. How awesome is that. Stage 2 was definitely the hardest stage for me. We started at around 9000ft and climbed up Hope pass to around 12400ft. The altitude and climb to the top was no joke. Coming down from Hope pass was super ch...
