One thing I found challenging when I was training for my first Ultra was finding new routes to run. As training miles got longer I found myself getting bored with the same route. I then discovered the course function on the #garminconnect. You can discover new routes to run in your area. You pull up the map, search for a course in your area and download the course to your watch. Your watch then navigates you so that you don't get lost. How cool is that! . This feature was particularly useful when we were on vacation in California, because I still needed to keep up my training, but I didn't know the area. I downloaded a course to my watch and I could run without getting lost and I discovered some of the best trails I've ever run. Courses are uploaded by other runners so you know it has been tested. The course I've got on my watch in the photo is for the Umstead 100 which I'm running in April (I'm only doing the 50 miler). I've not run this race before so now I can do a few training run...
