After a 5 mile run yesterday and a 13 Mile Trail run on Sunday my legs are in need of some serious recovery so they are strong for my 800m workout tomorrow. .
When I started running I never added recovery to my training. I just kept going. I started getting injured, I wasn't performing as well as I use to, which resulted in a much slower pace. I now add recovery to my training plan. Its normally a recovery run, walk or bike and foam rolling. Just making these small changes have made me a much stronger runner. I love how my garminfitness
#forerunner935 watch tells me how much recovery I need after every workout, useful info when planning recovery. .
I also add my recovery run to my watch. This way if I'm running to fast it will tell me to slow down because after all its only a recovery and it should be slow😉.
