This earth day we are proud to announce Knockaround is are plastic neutral! That’s right—for every pound of plastic we use in production, we remove a pound of ocean-bound plastic from the environment elsewhere. To coordinate this massive collection goal, we work with an organization called cleanhub.io to facilitate partnerships with waste management groups and environmental organizations all over the world. CleanHub audits the collection amounts to ensure our status as Plastic Neutral is accurate and verified. Achieving plastic neutrality has been a goal of ours for a long time. In 2022, by collecting 36,000 lbs of ocean-bound plastic, we finally got there. But that’s just the start. In 2023, we’re aiming to collect 45,000 lbs of ocean-bound plastic. That’s the equivalent of about 2,160,432 plastic water bottles, or 2,704,950 plastic bags, or 18,033,000 plastic straws. In other words: we find a lot of stuff that we definitely don’t want in the ocean, and we keep it OUT of the ocean. ...
