Scaling 6000 meters of pure Andean beauty with wearecrazyenough and a fearless Cholita Escaladora, Cecilia 🌄
The Cholita Escaladoras, also known as the Climbing Cholitas of Bolivia, are a group of Aymara indigenous women who are breaking stereotypes and challenging gender norms by scaling mountains in their traditional attire. These remarkable women, dressed in their colorful polleras (traditional skirts), bowler hats, and ornate jewelry, have conquered some of the most challenging peaks in the Andes, including Huayna Potosí, Aconcagua, and Illimani.
