After going 4-0, with 3 finishes in a row and a pro record of 12-0, I lost my next two fights on my 2nd UFC contract. This was a tough time period for me where I dusted off my teaching resume thinking my run with the UFC was over, if I lost my next fight. Thankfully, I was able the win against BJJ ace, Tanquinho Mendez in my 7th UFC fight. - I was uncertain about my career, and although I had a back up plan, I trained and prepared as if I had nothing else to fall back on.
