Junior Julianne Cucos is an artist who has won many awards and she enjoys expressing her emotions through art. “I think it's a really easy way for people to understand who I am, because sometimes it's really hard to express myself and I'm also kind of a shy person,” said Cucos. “I don't really put out there a lot and with art, it's like anyone who sees it without even knowing me, they can relate to me or I can make someone else feel like their experiences can also be related.” She is currently taking ceramics this semester at Huron, and she took mixed media last semester. Julianne has been interested in art since elementary school.
