On Tuesday, April 19, the Huron women’s varsity tennis team had a home match against Skyline. The match had eight game sets and Huron finished their second meet of the season with a 3-5 loss. “This was a very important match against a rival and a strong conference opponent,” head coach Keith Andringa said. This season, there are 16 varsity players on the team including two co-captains senior Kamie Mueller and junior Julianne Cucos. “My goal for this season is to move four new freshman players to the varsity team next year,” Andringa said. “It’s a big change from club tennis to an actual league. It can be somewhat nerve-wracking when people stare at them during the whole match but I hope they experience those new things.” Reporting by Daniel Lee Photos by Gina Ko
