On Friday, April 22, Huron's FIDM Fashion Club held the Trashion Show at Meyer Auditorium, celebrating Earth Day. Organized to combat fast fashion culture and promote sustainability, the show presented fashion made from alternative sustainable or recyclable materials that were designed and modeled by club members. “I like to let the club do its own thing and just be creative and have fun as long as it makes being there a better experience for everyone,” club president Julia Rem said. Inspired by the success of the first Trashion Show, the club hopes to organize more activities next year. “I think we gained a lot of interest in the club from the models and audience,” Rem said. “Our main goal is to grow the club and then we can vote on what kind of thing we want to tackle next.” If you have any questions or are interested in Huron FIDM fashion club, visit @fidm.hhs Reporting by Gina Ko and Sandra Fu Photos by Gina Ko
