The “jump back drill” is one of my faves! I even do it as a slapping drill here’s why:

The “jump back” drill forces me when hitting & slapping to make sure I Keep my head position still and to stay athletic and in my legs as I jump back.

Slapping! This creates the perfect “lean position” of momentum. Being able to create momentum without moving your head and remaining in slow control of your body is vital to being a good Slappernation especially when facing a pitcher that throws different speeds.
