I remember being young and watching softball players on TV and identifying with the player that had the same number as me, was fast like me or played the same position. Those players weren’t my favorite players because they played the best that day but simply because they reminded me of myself and because I identified with them in some way. I thought I too could play on TV just like them! Representation is so important because it grants young girls the permission to set high goals and to never think their dreams are unattainable. I want to represent those that have aspirations that may have been shot down at one point, it is never about how you start but how you finish! Never about where you are from but all about where you are going! Dreams should scare you a little and excite you a lot! I want every young player I come across to be excited about their dreams and to help them reach those! .
