This drill is basically a slappers version of the *Happy Gilmore* for hitters where they build up momentum to try and stay in their legs as they hit.

Personally sometimes I move too fast through the box and have to tell myself to slow it down. When I feel the need to slow down I like to do this drill. It allows me to feel controlled while also still feeling powerful through the ball using my legs.

Put some tape down to make sure to stay in a straight line when slapping. (No peeling early to first) The dry run is to build up momentum while remaining slow and controlled going through the slap. You will feel yourself wanting to go forward where your momentum is taking you, so remain in control and focus on staying strong in that back leg then pushing off aggressively!
