Manchester Orchestra, 2000 Trees Festival REVIEW: There's something quite special about watching masters of their craft at work, and Manchester Orchestra very much fit that bill. Their dense exploratory brand of alternative loveliness, ebbing and weaving between morbidly stark and gloriously savage, has captivated everyone here at the main stage from the get-go, and that's a rare skill indeed. A soft wind whirls through the air, adding to the building intensity of 'Pride' whilst a stunning 'Bed Head' and gritty 'Cope' have arms aloft from front to back, with Andy Hull soaking in every millisecond with endless glee. There's even space for an appearance from The Gaslight Anthem's Brian Fallon on a rollicking run-through of 'The Maze'. It all equates to 60 minutes of spine-tingling, heart-racing, jaw-dropping perfection from a band that we are so lucky to still have the chance to admire and adore. Long may that continue. šŸ–‹ļø Jack Rogers šŸ“· Jez Pennington #manchesterorchestra #thegasli...
